I have not been dissfellowshipped. I was never even baptized. my best friend however is is baptized devout JW. We haven't really talked much since I stopped going to meetings 3 months ago. We talked a little and I tried to be honest with her and to help her understand why I wasn't going to meetings, but she saw what I was saying as apostate and didn't want to hear it. She only wanted to talk to me if I had something good to say about the organization or something promising about...

My mom is making me go to meetings again. I'm 18 now, got a job working 48 hours a week and she still says that I HAVE to go to any meeting I can make. Naturally, I said no. First meeting would be tomorrow so ill see what happens. Might be kicked out with nowhere to go :sad:

Normally I don't have a problem with my ex-in-laws, we have always had a cordial relationship after their son and I divorced. My daughter is 7 and she gets on and off the bus at my ex-in-laws house. This arragement has worked out fairly well so far. I don't pay for before or after school care.

Hello all,
Im new here and have been "out" for 4 years now. Without telling my whole life story I want to know what some of your thoughts are on dating and if anyone else has this odd feeling I have about dating someone that has not had the upbringing I have (I was born into the witness world).....I guess I have alot of head sorting to do but a brief relationship I had last year didnt work out and Im sure our massively different pasts had alot to do with it....

In an age of Ben and Jerrys....Baskin Robbins and all the other amazing companies out there why oh why does vanilla continue to remain such a firm favourite? I mean come on have you tried Phish food by Ben and Jerrys....its proof that god exists (thats a joke before I get pounced on )......personally having worked in an ice cream shop, I am surprised by this simple fact...vanilla comes out trumps x

He was an elder i knew...and his wife was not a witness. He was a tyrant and she was a lovely lady. I cleaned thier windows and enjoyed having a cup of tea with her. She was heartbroken because her son was banished from the family. As a teenager he had done the unthinkable and rebelled against dads beliefs.

When the news came that she had hanged herself in the home i was truly shocked and saddened. People were shocked that such a lovely sweet lady could do such a thing....
