Did anyone ever witness in school and/or work?

I was just reminded of the circuit and district assembleies where they would have those scripted interviews or "experiences" of people 'giving a good witness' at school or in the workplace.

Aside from those experiences (which could be fake), I have never in my life seen a classmate or co-worker witnessing. Even the most goodie two shoes witness kids didn't open their mouths at school - unless asked. Even so, the answers was very short and quiet. They only...

I didn't know whether best to post this here or on the announcements board, but this will work good I think...

I know it might have been hard to miss the post that was up the other day about the site winding down....

Without going into all the details, there's been a change of plans I'm very happy to say.

It is for a lot of reasons that we are staying around for the long term.

I caught this movie the other night when it came on one of the extra channels we are getting, HBO or Shotime or something like that. It really freaked me out the similarities between the girls' household and the one I was brought up in as a Witness. They never mention what religion the parents are, but there is even a scene where the mother is making the girls burn their records because music is evil. Has anyone else caught this movie? What'd you think?

I've been really loving the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. I like all their stuff especially their raw early stuff. Honestly I don't know what but it all went wrong. I look back and can not exactly say when it went wrong but it did. There are points in life when you say, "what if"...When I was 21 I tried to join the Air Force and for some reason I failed the physical they wouldn't say why...I think that was my "point" for shortly after I began studying with the JW's...so few times in life we can look back and say, "that was it" and it was for me for that decision...

I heard a rumor and it's from an unreliable source that the term "disfellowshipping" is no longer used but has been replaced entirely by the term "disassociation". It this is true, it must be a recent thing. Anyone know? Thanks.
