I met Janet!

I met Janet (hoochiemama) and her husband Keith today! They are visiting NYC and we had lunch together. They are such a wonderful couple. I had a great time. I have a pic of Janet and I but I'm not able to post pictures on this computer for some reason. We'll have to wait for Janet to come back to post it.

He locked me in our room, and did all this!!! 24 balloons for my 24th birthday, two bouquets of flowers, streamers etc. He also flew my best friend up from LA...I didn't know she was coming until she knocked on our door! Log Cabin

Me and my husband just moved into a cozy little log cabin on 1 acre. I'm so happy there it is an amazing little home. Not to big but perfect for the 2 of us. I have always loved log homes and always wanted to live in one but never thought I would get the chance. I feel really blessed we have gone through some difficult times financially and with being disfellowshipped ....and it is great to be back on our feet...

It's a combination of reasons ranging from being inundated with unexpected family and friends dropping in for coffee (the joys of moving back to your home town after 16 years of being absent) ... being "Mum's Taxi" (Gav had to hand his bank car back to the new replacement fella and we only have the one car) ... to finding out recently that my non-JW uncle...

Hey dont worry all....i havent joined a new religon

Well as i put down in posts in the past i left full time employment and im now in University full time. Have to say apart from a shed load of essays which i need to write i am absolutely loving every minute. This is the point when i sound like a total geek but to be able to enter a library that covers 4 floors and contains books that are not just about one bloody subject...

I just bought all kinds of cute holiday stuff at a garage sale to have around the house for the grandkids this winter. It's all snowman stuff, cookie platters and things. I'll be getting to the Santa Claus, but so far have mostly snowmen stuff. It's all so cute and I'm excited about it! What fun!

I'm going to a Halloween party this year, and it is movie themed... You will notice I like Disney lol... I also thought that characters from Disney movies would be more easily recognizable...

But who knew costumes were so expensive?!!? And it's not even cheaper to rent them! Crazy pills...

So...I welcome any ideas on some good, and hopefully cheap costumes with movie themes... And let me know what you think of my ideas so far...

We are from San Diego , so when we found out that Beth Sarim was in San Diego we just HAD to go see it. I can tell you that the home is quite impressive in person. It's absolutely gorgeous. The home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac street and has sweeping canyon views. When we visited, the home owners were out back working in the yard and had music turned up pretty loud so my several attempts to ring the door bell and talk to them didn't work. Went out to lunch today with one of my ex JW brothers, two sisters and brother-in-law and my daughter. One of my sisters, I hadn't seen for 10 years and my brother (25 years my junior) I hadn't seen for 6 years. Great conversation! Just enjoyed it so much, I wanted to tell everyone.
