Surely Vanilla is most boring ice-cream flavour in the world?

In an age of Ben and Jerrys....Baskin Robbins and all the other amazing companies out there why oh why does vanilla continue to remain such a firm favourite? I mean come on have you tried Phish food by Ben and Jerrys....its proof that god exists (thats a joke before I get pounced on )......personally having worked in an ice cream shop, I am surprised by this simple fact...vanilla comes out trumps x

I am the last of 11 siblings born to my parents, two years ago we lost a brother. This was extremely painful because it was sudden and he was the first of us to go. There were six boys and five of us girls. I'm dsf'd, another of my sisters is dsf'd, and one more just disas'd herself. My brothers wer never witnesses, never will be. Has anyone ever seen PROOF of anything that would suggest there is an invisible spirit world of some type out there?
like a door opening and closing all by itself with no explanation ....
The movie was fictitious of course....about a couple who go to sleep every night with a camera recording what happens in their room with a demonic entity messing with them...the demon following the girl around since age 8 until the present...
Stories about these things cant be verified...i...

So I'll be working some odd hours that clash with the husband's schedule and we both have a different opinion on how to schedule childcare.

Scenario 1- I work 7-7pm two days and 7-3pm one day. Husband works 4am-1pm. Nanny comes in morning from 6-8am when dd gets on the bus. One or both of us will be home when she gets back from school most of the time, except for when i work till 7 and husband would work late.

Scenario 2- I work the same, but...

How could this flu have components of a swince flu from Asia, a swine flu from Europe, and bird flu from Asia and a human flu all in one and to have begun in Mexico? Does that sound like some genetic engineering to anyone else? I know that was supposed to have been some Internet site topics awhile back, but I never got on them. I just read this that it contains four different types of flu components in one. Any biology majors have an answer?

One of the students in my after-school program was diagnosed Wed. with the H1N1 flu. He was absent Monday, attended Tuesday and out again and diagnosed Wednesday. So I've been exposed and I'm not feeling quite right, an earache and sore throat. Not really bad yet. Time will tell it that's what I have. Just sitting here putting off cleaning up so thought I'd share that. Anyone else had it or been exposed and not gotten it? I'm not worried about myself much. But they do say...

In an education class I had some years ago, a speaker told of a study where it was reported that one of the greatest predictors of how well a child will do in school is, not the educational level of the parents, nor the income level, neighborhood, or even school the child attends. Rather, one of the greatest predictors of how well a child will do in school, according to the speaker in my class, is the number of books in the home. Interesting.

OK, so I thought it would be fun to start this thread.
The idea came up when I saw Solitaire's picture. I think she looks sooooo much like Martha Plimpton (actress from the movie "Goonies")!! I'll post the picture below of what Martha Plimpton looks like and you can be the judge as to whether or not you think she looks a heck of alot like solitaire. (Your both are gorgeous by the way!)
