..............was it cheesy in any way Cosmic?? Or is it just my view??
Yeah, I was a bit cheesy, although they were decent enough musicians. I guess they released their new album on Tuesday and it was the #1 Christian album this week, so they are a big band (although I had never heard of them).

If I had any real criticism, it was that everything was pretty derivative. Maybe it is because I play guitar, but every single guitar solo was predictable. I knew exactly what the next solo or riff was going to be. When Brewster played an acoustic piece, I figured out the chord progression on the first chord. But the melodies were pretty catchy.

Maybe it is from listening to too much King Crimson. I can't even fathom what chords those guys are playing!

As for Christian death metal, I'm all for it! Back in my younger days I had a band with some of the other kids in the Hall. I couldn't sing the sappy stuff (which is what we mainly played) and can only sing when I belt it out loud. I started writing songs about being a JW (hey I was very devout at the time) and got some flack with my bandmates just for that. Eventually I got my Fender Strat and started writing a bunch of heavy music about Revelation. That got me kicked out of the band.
