TD Devils Causeway is spectacular. It's in the far North of the country. Haven't been there myself.

Places of interest.

Co.Limerick:

Adare (probably pretiest village in Ireland)
Killaloe (lake and water sports)
Foynes (flying boat museum)
Thomond Park (Munster rugby ground & museum. You would probably need to like rugger to appreciate this one)


Co.Cork

Blarney (Castle and famous stone)
Foto Island (nature reserve, house and grounds)
West Cork (lovely scenery and can hop into Co.Kerry and do the ring of Kerry, probably Irelands most famous scenic route)
Kinsale (famous for its sea food restaurants)

Co.Clare

Cliffs of Moher (as the name suggests Cliffs)
Ailwee Caves
The Burren (if you like barren, bleak, wind swept scenery)
Bunratty Castle and Folk Park (quite close to Limerick City and they hold banquets in the castle which you can pre book.

Co.Galway

Connemara (scenic routes including scenery shot in films such as The Field & The Quiet Man)
Sky Rd (scenic route between Clifden, Co.Galway & Westport, Co. Mayo)


Most of the other counties you will get info on by googling. Sligo and Donegal are lovely too.
Northern Ireland is apparently beautiful too and as its peaceful now go for it and enjoy.
