Many JW followers are conditioned into believing their religion is THE religion. They refuse to accept certain words and phrases 'worldly' people use when referring to their religion and/or their lifestyle because they are conditioned to accept the words and phrases set by the organisation itself. It's why thinking for oneself is not encouraged ... asking questions is not part of the conditioning and indoctrination process.

I agree with Jeff and have seen first hand JWs who have worried about the health and welfare of others ... sometimes going against the general consensus that it would have been better to 'leave it to Jehovah ... he will help them'. My parents over the years have helped several single parent families with transport to meetings and/or assemblies, maintenance around the house etc ... only for my Dad to have been accused by elders of having an AFFAIR with several of the single parent women! It didn't seem to matter that he actually had my Mum along with him ALL the time. Conditioning and indoctrination ... hard to buck up against eh.

... it is what you do with what happens to you."
