Yep Sharon ... a letter box here is the same as your mail box. Ours is just behind the front fence and very easy to find ... by our Postie or the junk mail deliverers of which I include anyone with a religious leaning with their mail

We can get stickers that say "No Junk Mail Please" ... but I'm guessing a JW wouldn't believe their publications were junk mail and would put them in the letter box anyway! They can't hit the Post Office Boxes though as they'd have to PAY to put things there via the Post Office people.

When I was little ... it was fun trying to put leaflets under doors but if they didn't go straight under ... my parents would have us very discreetly pop it in the letter box of the householder. If it wouldn't fit in there either ... we'd just walk off and not leave one. As you mentioned above ... the idea is NOT to make it obvious the people are not at home. Pity the JWs don't train their publishers like they used to ... they're slipping!
