Movies I like I will put in categories:

Comedy:

Life of Brian (Monty Python) I love the total irreverance they give to the Jesus story. I can watch this film many times.

American Pie-The Wedding Stiffler is brilliant in this film. Always had a thing for Alyson Hannigan who plays Michelle from her days as Willow in Buffy. This film just makes me laugh so much even though I wouldn't usually like gross out comedy.

Romance:

Notting Hill this could possibly go in comic section too. My favourite character is Spike "I may have told a couple of people down the pub"

Thriller:

Godfather Trilogy Enough said. Absolute classics that really show how power corrupts. Superb acting and story plots too.

The Wind That Shakes The Barley If you want to see a film that deals with the lead into the Irish civil war and its affect on families then this is the film to watch. Powerful, emotive and to a large extent very true.

In The Name Of The Father starring Daniel Day Lewis telling the story of the Guildford Four, four people falsely convictedof the IRA's Guildford pub bombing which killed 4 off-duty British soldiers and a civilian. Powerful performance from Day Lewis and a film like the one above which leaves me angry and emotional after watching it.

Braveheart I just love the battle scenes and the story.

Edited because I forgot to put the reasons why I like the films.
