It has been a while since I talked about Bro. Jackass.

I'm still irritated with that guy.

For those who came in late to the show:

My wife (at the time) left me and said that it was none of my business where she and her children went.

Bro. Jackass did everything to protect her position. Now keep in mind, we were both faithful JWs at the time.

I mentioned my wife past relationships with other men. He said he couldn't even ask her if that was true.

She lied in court (serious lies) and he said "well, it is hard to say if she was really lying or if she just didn't understand the question."

These types of things went on for months.

When I filed divorce (still a JW), he blasted me for my disregard for Jehovah's laws. When I confronted him about his hypocrisy by justifying my wife's actions, he said "it's apples and oranges."

It was amazing. He would contradict the WT in nearly every statement. The big one was that he assigned another "brother" to study with my son. When he did that, the elder body officially sanctioned my wife's non-Witness behavior.

My ex and I have talked about this quite a bit. I would tell her "Bro. Jackass said you said this and that." She denied it. Then she would say "well, he said that you said blah blah blah." Again, things I didn't say.

When I lived in Massachusetts, there was an elder who accused me of apostasy for disagreeing with him. I had the WT magazines to back me up, but he still wanted a JC against me for apostasy.
