superpunk, you are brilliant! The operative word in that scripture is "see." If Jesus came in 1914, for as much as we have read about historical events from the early centuries someone's ancestors would have accurate proof that happened. My Grandmother who born in 1912 was a very spiritual person, and I'm sure her mother was and they never passed down any information about that happening.

"Put away any books...."- If the GB was such an authority on scriptures they would be able to teach the bible without all of the aids. If Jesus entrusted them as the "channel" they would definitely have all of the answers. A person seeking answers should never be made to feel like crap if indeed there is something they are not sure about. Personally I would go with the earliest version of the bible. I think people are wooed by all of the "beautiful, colorful pictures" (as my mother says) that are in those magazines. Their scriptural and practical information are all traditional and doctrinal.

My guess is that they will become unbearably pressing toward the congs to make converts to spread the lies. They will likely become mentally drained and depressed even moreso. My mother suffers from depression and it hurts like hell because she is always made to feel like she's slacking in faith if she has to work.
