I also remember the excitement of preparing for a big assembly. We would get new clothes and the kids were thrilled to be staying in a hotel and eating out every night. Toward the end I just couldnt feel that excitement. It was more of a total burden. I hated the crowds, the waiting for elevators, the cliques of people pretending to be one happy family. I found myself observing things and began to see through it and knew I had to get out. Maybe if you do go you will also observe and see through it and know you need to get out.
