Hi Anakin,

Obviously I do not believe we're living in the last days, etc. Can you elaborate on how you discovered 607 BCE was incorrect? I assume from your posts thus far it was from close study of scripture. But can you think back to a catalyst moment when it crystallized for you?

As whytebryd2 alludes to, you may very well be making the same mistake the leadership of JWs make. That is making and believing your own dogmatic statements such as "you can see the meltdown now" without a proper investigation. I'm sure you believe that is true, but here is my problem -- I honestly can not see such a meltdown. Now maybe I'm just ignorant and dumb, certainly many of my former JW friends would say so ;-).

Life beyond our former faith is sometimes difficult. If your study of the Bible has lead you to certain conclusions, makes you a better person and brings enjoyment to your life, that I think is part of the answer. No one gets out of JWs without some level of being burned. But... hang in there, after awhile our connection and impact of our former faith winds up having less and less impact.

Cheers,
Rawe
