I read a number of psychological theories about the type of personality that seeks out a pseudo-father figure in religion (Jehovah/Jesus)
I have noted this personality type in others that aren't JW"s as well and find it intriguing. One of the key persons who helped me to get out of the JW's is himself (IMO) caught up in his own 'needs a spiritual leader' type of thinking although his particular leader is a woman. I have kind of chuckled to myself that he worships the quicksand she walks on. Yep, a lot of people need to follow somebody.

I sort of adopted a New Age/Hippie attitude about it all-I love my experiences because like it or not, they made me who I am.
This is pretty much where I'm at, too.
