Would it not be reasonable to assume if Jehovah exists and is directing these sincere people, he could have provided clearer direction all along? Given that is clearly not the case either with Jehovah's Witnesses or anyone else to who claims special God given knowledge, why not take a simpler stance that most likely God does not exist, or if he does, is not interactive with humans in such a way as to give them special knowledge?
My sentiments exactly.

I have had this conversation with a few family members who are JWs. They never do have a good explanation. I always want to shake them, and tell them to use their brains! Look at how much has been changed in the borg over the years... Why would Jehovah do that (if he exists)? Why would he direct or inspire his chosen ones (the only ones who have his backing in the entire world) to lead his people all over the god damn place? It makes no sense. If God exists, than he seems pretty damn cruel. Past and present. Logically, he does not exist (imo)

Now here's another thing about the GB... Are they inspired by Jehovah or are they directed by Jehovah? I've talked to my aunt about this one, and she doesn't even know. What's worse...she doesn't seem to be bothered by the fact that she doesn't know. And these are the people that are controlling her life! *shakes head*. If they are directed, you have the problem above, that God is purposefully screwing around with us. And, what makes the GB more special than mere elders who are also "directed" by God? If they are inspired, than why are there so many mistakes all the time? Is there also mistakes in the "inspired" Bible then?

It boggles my mind that these questions don't bother your average JW. They just blindly parrot the mantra "but it's the truth!" without so much as thinking about it. Sigh.
