A little bit off topic, but I recall when my mother and her husband were disfellowshipped (and still trudging along to all meetings, arriving after the song started and sitting in the back row) that none of us (parents + 3 kids) were allowed Kingdom Ministries because none of us were technically "publishers in good standing".

We spend the first year of my mothers disfellowshipping sitting through the entire Thursday night meeting staring blankly ahead while everyone else confurred with their Kingdon Ministries.

Into the second year of disfellowshipping and some elder decides that its ok if we receive photocopies of the Kingdom Ministries, just not the originals. So I had to go up to this particular elder before each Thursday meeting to get my families allotment of photocopied Kindgdon Ministries.

How stupid is that?
