herdarkness - Just go to coffee shops and strike up a conversation with someone. Join a book discussion group at your local library. Volunteer at a shelter and give back to the community. One thing is for sure, you have to make the first move to make friends of any sort. They won't just show up one day. It's going to take a lot of effort. Some friendships will last and some wont. But eventually you will find someone you can connect with . Perhaps even reaching out to some ex-jw groups in your own area would be a great begining. If you search the internet for local support groups. I know in my area there is a big ex-jw gathering coming up next year. I'm sure there is something or someone near you that you can reach out to. Just keep looking.

" I am not going to sit on my ass as the events that affect me unfold to determine the course of my life. I'm going to take a stand. I'm going to defend it. Right or wrong, I'm going to defend it. " ~Cameron (Ferris Buellers Day Off )
