Beth - you have come a long way in such a relatively short space of time............

Most of us get JW-weary, as you say,the constant research - realisations - and anger issues........can just swirl round your brain like a never ending spiral.............

Maybe it is time for you to take a break from here for a bit........let the 'obsession' with the religion subside...........the main thing to focus on at this time is that you have proved beyond doubt to yourself that it was a load of hogwash - dangerous hogwash maybe - but you have outed the doctrines and teachings for what they are..........

the legacy of having been a JW is far more complicated than merely the 'facts' of the teachings...........that is shown by the ongoing negativity that many of us are subject to.............

losing everyone we looked upon as friends, is far more hurtful and damaging than just leaving a faith...........you have contributed some amazing research and personal insights, that will help others so much..........

but you need time to concentrate on you and your family...........to build yourself up emotionally - to distance yourself from the JW identity - and to try and become a whole person outside of the society........

I do think that our JW experience can tend to make us prone to being obsessive in many areas of our lives...........we have been that used to 'striving harder'........never quite being zealous or strong enough in the religion...........being encouraged to be obsessive with regards to their teachings..............that is is all too easy to carry that regime on - even though we are no longer under their mind-control!!

Maybe after a break - to analyse and actually take on board what you have discovered in these last 6 months - you will feel the anger lessen - and the positivity of your new found freedom will lift your spirits :-)

This board has been here way before me, and will probably be here way after me.............in other words, as long as the religion exists, and the damage it does continues............there will always be a need for such places.........you are a part of this place, but that doesn't mean that you can't take time away from it............so that when you do return, you do so merely to check out the friends you have made here - and maybe give help to newbies, who arrive here more or less on a daily basis!!

You need time to heal your mind and your spirit........

Love and Hugs
