From my experience some JWs make up their own minds regardless of the truth surrounding the death of another fellow member ... they don't necessarily care what leads up to the death if they're not directly involved. However ... there will always been that chance of gossip and innuendo if the family are keeping the cause of death to themselves. Can't say I blame them ... JWs can be very harsh critics of their own.

JWs don't have to invite all and sundry to funeral services. It's a personal family matter but usually only those with some kind of spiritual standing in the congregation are allowed a funeral service to be held there. Just like weddings ... it's how strong they are that counts not what they've done prior to death. Things could have changed though as I've been out for a while.

I would hope that the JWs would let sleeping dogs lay but you can't tell with that lot Littlepebbles.
