1. Atheists Refuse To Admit Atheism Is A Faith Based Belief

Does it take you faith to disbelieve in the existence of Allah or Zeus? Does it take you faith to disbelieve in elves or leprechauns? It's a legitimate question. Be honest.
Just because your belief system includes a god or a prophet does not make your belief system any more valid, realistic or more true than any other figments of the imagination.
Disbelief is not the same as denial, it's either the absence of belief or the presence of skepticism.

I do not say I have 100% proof your God doesn't exist, you and Duh'Souza make that leap, not me. I think that would be a dishonest argument. I cannot disprove any of the other countless gods made up in the minds of men thoughout history either. whereas you say 100% that your god does exist without demonstrable proof to back it up. Who is being dishonest here? I do however put your God in a category with the Road Runner and Bugs Bunny being real. Yes I know that is offensive to many, but ya know what.. I would never have even brought this up had you not made blind assumptions about atheists.

But somehow an atheist can still formulate empirical evidence that a supernatural supreme being does not exist.

That makes no sense. If I see nothing to believe in (which is why I am atheist) then obviously I see no real evidence to refute. Ancient texts? Extraordinary claims that have no demonstrable proof?
Personal experiences, or feelings? If science refutes bible claims then so be it. I have watched this debate of atheism vs theism for years, and I've yet to see anything other than philosophical musings brought by theists as proof. I'm not interested in any philosophical musings, because as a whole they are meaningless.

3. Atheism Takes Automatic Assumption of Intellectual Superiority by Portraying Those That Believe In a Higher Power As Mentally Damaged.

javeca you made the very first post on this thread.. in huge letters.
ATHEISM
The belief that there was nothing, and nothing happened to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no reason, creating everything and then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason what so ever into self-replicating bits which then turned into dinosaurs.

Makes perfect sense.

I know you quoted someone else's words, but you added none of your own, so I am left to assume this is what you think of atheism and those who are atheist. You make a lot of illogical and unsubstantiated assumptions about me and all other atheists. My atheism only answers one question. Do I believe in a God? No I do not believe. Why? Because you provide no proof to your claim that there is a god. The claim of god is yours, therefore the burden of proof is yours. You cannot discard the burden of proof so easily.

I live in the bible belt, I get this typical reaction from theists all of the time.
You don't believe in God, therefore you think everything is accidental, and there's no meaning to your life, I'm so enlightened, and blah blah blah, now it's time to bow my head and talk to
myself.

I am an atheist, which means that I have no belief in your god. It says nothing about what I do believe in. So let me tell you about what I do believe in.
I believe in things that exist. I believe in things that can be demonstrated to exist. I make no apologies for only believing in things that can be demonstrated to exist, because I care deeply about whether or not the things I believe in are actually real. So if rejecting claims of the supernatural because of lack of empirical evidence seems arrogant to you, then so be it. If I did not reject such claims, I would be inclined to believe in anything without sound evidence, and that would leave me heavily vulnerable to trickery.

But that does not mean I think that life itself is meaningless, I've never said nor implied that I think this way, many theists make that leap the second they realize I don't believe in God(s).
You need a cosmic reason for it all, but it's never really mattered to me why we are here. All that matters to me is what we do with the lives that we have.
