In my experience JWs are much more forgiving of the died. My husband's aunt was Df'd at the time of her death... and JW family attended the funeral. It was a sad state of affairs. It was at a funeral home and no one spoke or gave a service. A family friend got up at the end and said a few words maybe 1 minute that was it. The rest of the time all you could hear was crying. So sad.

Witnesses forget to honor the lives of the people they loose. At a witness funeral the focus is the Org it is all about there faith and religion. When some one Df'd dies they can't talk religion so nothing is said. I think JWs are so worried about reflecting badly on the organization that they let there family member down. We all deserve a beautiful service to honor our lives.
