I questioned intellectual honesty of atheists based on the following three (3) statements.

  • Atheists refuse to admit that atheism is a faith based belief
  • Atheists refuse to grant the same courtesies they demand of others in debate
  • Atheism takes automatic assumption of intellectual superiority by portraying those that believe in a higher power as mentally damaged
  • And then presented the evidence on each of the three statements based on my own personal observations.
The problem, such as it is, is that you have presented those beliefs (!) here and had them contradicted by a whole bunch of real, live atheists.  So I have to say, your three points are not really  based on personal observations (because your recent personal observations directly contradict them), but rather form part of your belief system.  Being a person 'of faith', of course, you're not allowing personal observations to contradict your cherished beliefs, so you of course persevere in holding erroneous beliefs about atheists in the face of evidence that disproves your beliefs.

Put another way: your 'personal observations' about atheists are not really 'personal observations', they're straight-up prejudice based on your religion.

And one of the most important differences between atheists and people of faith, if there ever were to be evidence of the existence of a god, the vast majority of atheists would not ignore or attack that evidence to discredit it (same for the 'bigfoot' thread; show me credible evidence of a bigfoot, I'll believe it).  But people 'of faith' do that routinely, when presented with evidence that disproves their beliefs (or prejudices, as the case may be).
