Hi Clunker1,

I appreciate your post is a bit silly and humorous, but your point is a very good one. Ideas about many of the Gods people worship carry a very human-centric view. God is this loyal friend who is personally interested in you. In contrast the advancing knowledge has been moving in the opposite direction. In the last few centuries we have learned how insignificant we are. Seeing ourselves as not much different than the mouse Lord Wigglesworth first tortures then kills and eats is a perspective that is not very comforting. But the fact is we and that mouse and us share a common ancestor. In fact that mouse is closely enough related it can be used to study human medicine. How far would we be if all medical studies had to rely only on willing human subjects?

Cheers,
-Randy
