Andria-
I would say it was guilt. I think it was way too little way too late. They (the parents) had a nasty divorce. We all lived in AZ and she moved back to Alabama. (Thousands of miles and three states away.) She had very little to do with the kids. She had left the 'truth' and the kids stayed with their dad (he was a fence sitter) so that they could be in the truth. The kids ended up living with their maternal grandmother who couldn't afford to support them. It was just a screwed up family. But its not like my family is screwed up too. But at least we are still alive (except for dad, but that was cancer's fault.) It was just sad to lose him so young. I also think alot of the things that happened after that was becuz we were all so stunned by what happened. They say that there are defining moments in your life, and I believe for alot of us his death was it.
