The main thing is, they have to be at a juncture in their lives to even begin to let any other thoughts in.

I'm with Sharon on this one...........all of the above anomalies are very powerful reasons in themselves for delving deeper into the religion....

....but I know from personal experience that if the individual is not receptive to factual reasoning (which of course is frowned upon by the org) we are just beating our heads against a brick wall........

.....the biggest challenge being that they always fall back on 'faith'.......and 'faith' is a hard nut to break, because it requires no reasoning, just blind adherence to the rules   

imo if there is even a seed of doubt in a persons mind, that seed can be fed and watered and encouraged to grow by aquiring knowledge..........if there is as yet no 'seed' - all the facts in the world fall on barren ground........
