I'm just wondering, as I'm married to a Jehovah Witness. He's only been to the Kingdom Hall a couple of times since we've been together (about 2 years). No HUGE area of disagreement for us. But he seems to have the thinking that men are superior to women...head of household type thinking. He was raised by his mother, so I don't see that it came from his upbringing & he was not raised as a JW. I'm just trying to figure him out but after coming here and reading the posts for over a year, I don't think I ever will. Thanks for your help!!
Sounds like his mother was towing the religious paternal party line regardless of her single mum status Amy.    It would be difficult for the average JW male NOT to have feelings of superiority given that it's such a man in charge type of religion.    Given that women are mainly there for support, breeding children and perhaps decoration (modestly of course) ... there's little wonder that some JW males raised in the religion from birth would have that "I'm the boss ..." type attitude.    In your hubby's case it may be environment and religion giving him that slight air of superiority.     The only main differences I can see between men and women ... are our dangly bits or lack thereof!
