This all boils down to the first thread about immigrants, where Matt said that there were drug smugglers living across the street from him.

I don't think anyone should be allowed to enter this country unless they go about it the proper way, but seriously, shooting a kid? A KID Matt. He's only 15 years old. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that's a bad idea.

I guarantee if that kid had a gun, he would have been shooting it.
You could be correct, we'll never know. But here's the thing though... he didn't have a gun. Just a bunch enough rocks. And please, rocks killing the officer? What is this David and Goliath?
I admit, there's just not enough information right now to form a judgement, but from what I have heard it's a matter of an american citizen defending himself. If you believe otherwise, then do me a favor, come on over to my house, I have lots of rocks, I'll start throwing them at you, and better yet, I'll get four of my friends to start throwing rocks at you. And you can't do anything about it. All you can do is just stand there and let the rocks hit you, like some expect the border agent should have done. Better yet, I'll hire you to have a gun and you can just shoot at me and I'll just stand here and let you kill me. OK
Ok here's the thing. No one here ever said that the officer shouldn't have done anything. Why wasn't arrest an option? Oh, I know why. Because you can't arrest people when they're not in your country now, can you? Every news story I checked confirmed that he was in Mexico, NOT in the United States. So the officer shouldn't have even been there in the first place. Maybe he knew that, and that's why he shot instead.

We have the right to protect our borders, but we don't have the right to kill whoever the fuck we want on another countries land Matt, and ESPECIALLY not a child. Maybe what you should be asking yourself Matt, is how you would feel if the situation was reversed. If you were told that your daughter was shot and killed on US soil by a Mexican border patrol agent because she was throwing rocks at him, would you be upset by that?
