Thanks Rhonda & Valerie...yes I know time will help.  It's just interesting what James was talking about - I find it easier to believe that JWs leave and become atheists or feel that if there is a god they have anger towards whatever that is.  I am always surprised when people leave the organization and are still very religious.  I'm not saying I think it's BAD, I am just surprised.  But all that means is the anger I have is directed towards organized religion of all kinds.  So at this point, my hatred is to human organizations and not God if he exists.
Hi Wondering, I have seen over the years that there are many reasons why people leave the Watchtower.  And there are many paths that they follow having done so.  The W/T like to give the impression that those who leave become atheistic fornicating(lovely word) immoral God hating reprobates.  Strange thing is that they can cope with this idea, you know "they have gone to the world", "they have returned to the vomit" etc.
What they find most difficult to come to terms with is that many, and there are thousands, still believe in God, or have come to a better or different understanding of God than that presented by "Gods Organization" the sso-called only source of truth.

Through out its history the Watchtower has reserved its most malicious spite towards those who take a different "religious "path.  For years those who left were described as "The Evil Slave Class", they were the worst of the bunch.  You rarely hear this phrase these days and now they direct thier spite towards the "apostates", and especially those who have the temerity to speak out against the Watchtower.
In fact i dont think the Watchtower is so concerned about defending Gods name, but rather, defending thier position, thier authority.
Another strange thing is how the Organization has such hatred against Organized religion.  Is there any religious group that is more organized than the Watchtower?.
I can understand the anger that many feel towards the Watchtower and towards God as he is presented in the Bible. I share much of that anger and dont have any easy answers.  I do know that my "vision" of God now is much different than that presented by the Watchtower and by many, not all, christians.
Life is a journey of discovery and coming out of the Watchtower is a bit like some one coming out of a dark cave.  While in the cave we though all the light that existed was to be found at the back of the cave.  Now we begin to see things differently. The experience can be painful, hurtful and scary, but is i think worth the effort. And whatever path you choose will be your decision.  We are all at different points in our journey and the great thing about this forum is that we are not judging each other , just travelling.
