DEFINITELY knew some "wack-jobs" and also some Nuns! Our nuns were less of the "weepy, emotional at the mention of Jarhoover" and more "STRIDE FORWARD WITH ZEAL, STERN AND FEROCIOUS INTO BATTLE" type---almost masculine. One was an elementary school teacher in her past life--to my utter shock, given her demeanor--and I always pitied the children who had to be in her class. When she died she left her entire estate to the WT--car, house, everything.

We also had many single sisters with adult handicapped children--mostly mentally, some physically, some both. Drawn in, no doubt, by the promise of restoration to eternal health in the "New System". There were MANY of these--not only in our cong but in surrounding congs. Some of the mental/physical conditions I saw of these folks, I have NEVER seen before....or since.

I'm always intrigued to read the differences in the "unified, worldwide" congregations---our cong was SO very conservative and staunch, but in certain areas they were...sorta.....lax. The "submariner's", for instance....as long as their status wasn't DF'd or DA'd or downright apostate, nobody cared and would associate freely with them, invite them to stuff, etc. I can't take credit for "submariner" that was Uncle Punk's creation (LOL), perfect description tho LOL!!!
