I concur with Marco and Whytebird.

I had another, very unproductive, discussion about this stuff with my wife on Saturday when she got back from her assembly. She didn't try to refute one thing I told her... I even pulled out a 1904 and 1910 edition of one of the volumes of "Studies in the Scriptures" to show her how they would go so far as to change the measurements of the Great Pyramid in order to fit the year 1914, previously taught to be 1874 (in the 1904 version).

I pulled out the 1969 volume of the Awake! magazine and showed her how they said that no young person alive at that time would ever be able to fulfill a career in this "system of things." It would all be on it's way out if not destroyed completely within a few more years. And yet here we both are, nearing the end of our secular careers.

Her final words: "I am not going to change." They have been so conditioned to fear anything outside of their very own publications... they actually are terrified. I don't know how they can overcome that fear unless they make their own independent decision to do so. And they are so afraid of "thinking independently" that even that is a near impossibility.
