I would have to agree, for the moment, that women don't have the same position as men in the catholic church by far. (no female popes or bishops as far as I'm aware)

That of course may change... there's many christian denominations that have female priests. It seems to some degree catholic leadership is open to reform. (acceptance of evolution being a noteworthy example)

I don't have enough information to really compare it to jws on a societal level. In daily life do catholics view women as being intrinsically incapable of leadership? Jws have this idea that not only is it 'wrong' for women to be in charge of anything, but that it always leads to bad consequences.
