Not sure where you're living or what you local priest deems appropiate for your church non but here in Ireland there is nothing unusual about a woman doing one of the readings or serving the Holy Communion.

Catholic treatment of women within the congregation and the roles they have is no better than that of JW's.

However I suppose no 'Sister' in the JW congregation is allowed to do the bible reading during the Theocratic (I hate that name) Ministry School. So the fact a woman is allowed to read from the bible at the pulpit in the Catholic church might be a step above the witnesses.
