You simply stated that you did not see your religion as demeaning. I pointed out that it was because it bans women from certain positions.

What are you talking about?  Non-believers don't even get inside the club (Vatican).  Is that demeaning to non-believers?  Or is that only demeaning to "female" non-believers?  The Church is "female" and spoken of as "she" and is viewed as in subjection to Jesus Christ.

That is a whacked question, and I never heard anyone ask that.  I think that what you are asking is "why do I agree with them" instead of you.  You need to go back to the founder of Christianity, Jesus himself, and ask him why he chose persons of male gender to be his apostles.
