hello! Welcome. Like you, I'm fairly new around here too. Its amazing how insightful it is huh? I am so sorry about how difficult it must have been. Your story kind of reminded me of my little sister. She moves away from home, went to college, eventually got pregnant, but not until flirting with the "dark side" lol. She basically wanted to do everything she was told she couldn't. Anyway, I remember a discussion my family had at the time. My sister never actually went to the elders and surprisingly my parents never pushed it. But I remember my brother (who's now an elder and married to a wolf in sheeps clothing if you ask me) said he felt he had to treat her as if she was disfellowshipped. Both my parents felt that as long as she wasn't, they wouldn't treat her as such. My older sister didn't say much. Anyway, I remember telling them not to even ask me to do that. I said, disfellowshipped or not, I will never turn my back on her. I've been her number one supporter aside from my parents. I always respected them more for that. Anyway, you made me think of my baby sister. Take care. Welcome!
