Being excellent in school. Being a JW is like having an extra bajillion hours of reading and writing practice.

I learned to be wary of the government and institutions, and to generally question things in the world with the awareness that things can be corrupt.

I became very passionate about social justice when I left JWs; I agree that conditions need to be changed, just not into what they want it turned into.

I probably have a better attention span than I would have, from sitting through all those meetings.
