Andria and gettingbetter, thanks for your kind words. With all the stalking issues my PTSD was triggered in a really big way. I'm still experiencing high anxiety levels, panic attacks and nightmares on a daily basis. My work helps me to focus on something else. My part-time job at Personal Training Institue is pretty busy. I do business admin work and get a strenth training workout as a paid benefit. When I'm working there, or when I'm doing photography the anxiety melts away. Check out www.sailctaccess.org for a sample of my photography. Note: Use any browser other than Internet Explorer. I just finished a "Visual Tour" for the site, but the techs have to upload it for me. The concept was to give a begining to end description of the Sail CT Access experience from the point of view of the handicapped member sailors and at the same time give pertinent information to anyone inquiring about the program. I had to tap into my creative writing skills for that! During the summer I will be first mate on Thursdays.

Backtotopic Anyway, I do believe kindness to myself and others will eventually heal all the pain in my life. I actually think my son is doing a lot better than I am. PTSD is a touch nut to crack (pun intended). My son's girlfriend sent Mr. Rubbity and me a Valentine's Day card. It is my first V-Day card ever! And it is adorable!

Kindness (Stanza 3) Before you know kindness /as the deepest thing inside, /you must know sorrow /as the other deepest thing. /You must wake up with sorrow. /You must speak to it till your voice /catches the thread of all sorrows /and you see the size of the cloth. /Then it is only kindness that makes sense anymore, /only kindness that ties your shoes /and sends you out into the day to mail letters and purchase bread, /only kindness that raises its head /from the crowd of the world to say /it is I you have been looking for, /and then goes with you everywhere /like a shadow or a friend.
