Very wise words there Amy ... and I have to agree with Margie, you hit the nail on the head and your words have been very helpful to me too I'm a mum with younger kids than what you both have ....... so I've yet to face the real heartache that comes when they grow up and move on with their own lives. Gav and I try and ward it off by keeping the old 'they're only on loan' thing in the back of our minds ... but ............ ahh ... no need to explain further I bet.

I've never had an issue with my siblings ... I love all four of my siblings and as much as I'd like to say I don't have favourites ... I do! I told my mum that and she was mortified. She apparently doesn't have favourites ... which quite clearly she does ......... but that's another story. Despite loving my siblings ... my older bro is a twat and not just because he's still firmly entrenched in his religion. My middle bro is a tosser for more than one reason. My youngest bro is gorgeous but stuck in a rut right now ...... and my sister? Well she's the kind of sister everyone should have! We don't have to like our family members even if we love them.
