Tbh, over the past coupla years, the WT has taken at least a few steps toward becoming more intellectually honest. First, they changed their "Was It Designed?" series in the Awake, so that, for instance, instead of asking the question: "Did the human appendix come about by chance, or was it designed?" they now pose the more intellectually honest question "Did the human appendix come about by evolution, or was it designed? And now . . . they flat out admit, in print, that they've made erroneous predictions in the past. Of course, they can never be so honest as to admit that their organization is purely human-run, so the dishonesty has just been shifted around a bit:

Before, it was:

Hypothesis: If the WTBTS is directed by god, then their predictions should always be accurate.
Experiment: The WTBTS makes a prediction. The prediction is inaccurate.
Conclusion: The WTBTS is not directed by god (The WTBTS denies the results of the experiment, so that they can maintain their hypothesis.)

Now it's:

Hypothesis: If the WTBTS is directed by god, then their predictions should always be accurate.
Experiment: The WTBTS makes a prediction. The prediction is inaccurate.
Conclusion: The WTBTS is not directed by god (The WTBTS acknowledges the results of the experiment, yet still refuse to discard their hypothesis)

"Go, I will. Good relations with the Wookies I have"
*chuckles*
