Hi Clever .... in answer to your original question about being crazy. It's a YES!

You're supposed to feel like you're the crazy one because the average jdub is told only they know 'the truth' and anyone stupid enough to walk away from 'the truth' ... is crazy. And stupid. And will die. And. And. And! It's a dreadfully difficult life to lead if you have to pay lip service and worry what the other religious mates are thinking 24/7 ... which is what most of our jdub family and friends will be doing right about now!

When I first walked out of the religion ... there wasn't the backup support like there is now. I had a group of work colleagues and even though they didn't truly understand the battle I was facing back then, they listened to me, encouraged me and helped me through what could have been a much more traumatic time.

I lived through all of those inane 'oh but we miss you' ... 'what will be do in the new system if we can't find you' blah blah endless religious twaddle blah! Over the years I've cultivated a whole heap of comebacks and comments that usually ruffle feathers. These days it's far more entertaining and certainly less stressful for me when dealing with my jdub family members or former jdub acquaintances. Being the evil apostate type comes in handy ... as the diehards will leave me alone and in peace so that they can concentrate on their shallow 'too scared to live and too scared to die' life moments.

With regards to reconnecting with the SANE family members ...... just be honest. Let them know you're out and about (in more ways than one) .... and that you'd love to get to know them again now that you're free from the mind control games of the WBTS. You'll find that most of your rellies ... if not all of them (bar the jdub ones of course) ... will welcome you back with open arms!
