This is one of the issues I have with my Mom and my upbringing.
We pretty much lived on single parent benefit from the state and lived in rent subsidised council houses.

Not once whilst I was growing up did my Mom try and find a job rather she preferred to pioneer (auxiliary). We were seriously broke. Most of my clothes were hand me downs from other brothers and sisters in the congregation or bought from thrift stores. Yet my Mom thought she was doing right sponging off the state and others because she was doing Jehovah's work and she would have his blessing.

When I turned 16 and she would lose her benefits since I was no longer a child then she started working. OMG! the tears and I mean sobbing because she would no longer be able to pioneer. Pathetic.

Well lets see: In all that time she pioneered and sponged off the state not one person she studied with became a witness. Her only son has since left home and disassociated himself from the JW's. How's that blessing working out?
