Keep up the hard work Magician.
I've been following this story along, and it angers me how the court system allowed this to happen.
It also angers me how people who have no personal experience with JWs feel they are doing the right thing by
defending the JWs and their right to deny underage children blood transfusions. They are so misguided, not really understanding what the JWs really are about.

This was posted by someone on your blog:

"I am not a JW, but I believe that I do have a choice in the health care decisions of my family (yes I do have a young son) without the village idiots piping in and telling me what I can and can't do because you don't believe the same as I do. Just because I don't believe it to be true doesn't mean that I'm right but I still have the right to make that decision."

This person does not understand what it is like to be a JW, and the impossible choices you are forced to make, or should I say, you are not really given a choice. He does not understand, this kid was never given freedom of religion. When you are born into the JWs, you are never really given a choice of whether you want to be one or not. If your family is one, you HAVE to be one too, or you risk some level of shunning. Even if you are never disfellowshipped, if you choose not to a JW after being raised one, you will be shunned by your family and friends to some degree.

Keep hitting the senators with the letters.
We appreciate all of your hard work on this.

Love, Mel
