Hey Canaadian lady! I've been all whiney about the cold here....ain't nothin' compared to what you got. (Still, I'm cold Brrrrr.)

About the climate things, I am a believer in Charles Hapgoods theories of crustal displacement (Einstein thought he was onto something!). I believe that he was at least on the right track although a lot of modifications could probably have been made if the scientific community had taken his proposal seriously and put some research into it. They didn't. The plate techtonics theory overroad. So, my feeling is that the crust of the earth has been shattered numerous times by celestial strikes and so it doesn't always move in a predictable way but I believe that when the ice sheets at the poles are as unevenly distributed as they are now and with the spin of the earth some movin' and shakin' is bound to happen and things are going to shift. Where it all moves to is the big question. I think we're on moving crust as we speak and that it happens faster than geologist want to believe.

It's my empirical woman goddess gut feeling speaking so for all you ubber scientist out there, just .......well, just watch.
