I still am meaning to write something Amanda along those lines if it would help you understand the situation better.

Anyone who is not prone to addiction is very fortunate. I am glad I don't smoke either....I know that a friend of my neice's has a black spot on his lung currently and he couldn't be much older than 30. I don't know what the outcome of that will be....Plus the smoke smell is nothing I like.

People in AA do definitely drink coffee a lot. The majority do.

Next most common I suppose are the ciggies but it isn't like everyone smokes and I have known people kick that habit after finding AA. I have known though a sizable portion decide not to kick the ciggies and the only reason I can get from them is that they believe that the alcohol was much worse on their lives than the cigarettes are. They don't wind up in institutions/jail, etc. because of smoking. No doubt true, but it still does shorten one's lifespan on the average. I can't comment beyond that because I am not addicted to smoking and don't want to ever try them at this point. Everyone's gotta manage things on their own and do what they think is right for them...

Rusty,
I also know those feelings well...

I will try to comment more if I can think of something Amanda.
