I'm sorry Rusty, you know I love you, but I have to bow out of this conversation. I realized the other day how many people I see who are so much worse off, and they do it. Whatever it takes, they do it. I support you always, but my pity for you stops here.

When there are people who lose their legs and go on to run marathons, there is nothing that anyone can't do. When there are parents who find out that their children are handicapped, and they make it, then you can too. I saw a young man the other day who was born blind and without legs. He was still so positive, he made me ashamed of myself. Maybe you're the one who "don't get it."

Do what you need to do. If you're lonely, get out and meet others in a way that's good for you. If you get depressed, find ways to deal with and avoid it. If drinking is harmful to you, do whatever you need to do to stop. Good luck.
