I suppose that what the Bible said about Michael sounded like he might be Jesus. An angel is a messenger, Jesus was the "Word" the chief messenger, hence, the archangel. They set a date when Jesus would return and said it could not be wrong, because God had set the date. So, when Jesus did not return, in desperation, they said he must have returned invisably and had taken his sleeping body members to Heaven. Kind of a Monday morning quarterback approach. Of course, at some point, they changed God's date from 1874 to 1914. Whatever the Society teaches, must be believed. If you were to disagree, you would be disfellowshipped. If later they change the teaching to agree with what you had thought, you are still wrong for running ahead of the organization. They are absolute masters in firewalling their beliefs and controlling the members.
