I myself refused a blood transfusion when I was 15, was forced to get one anyway. I've used your reasoning before on debate boards, not once have I had a jw say I made sense with this argument, they just keep blabbing that it says to abstain from blood. Some have even gone so far as to refuse to buy dog food that was made with animal blood by products, hot dogs that were once made with animal blood byproducts.

I believe one of the reasons why they hold to this doctrine so strictly is because it is a major way to make themselves standout to be speacial, so dedicated to god that they would die for him. That way they can look down their noses at other religions. They know perfectly well what the Athenasian council considered in the book of acts, they just ignore the circumstances.

As far as it being a conscience issue...well so is birthday's, thanksgiving, hanging out with disfellowshipped family members. But if you read anything printed by the borg regarding conscience issues they will always say, "remember to consider what Jehovah's word say's about it", which is code for, "you know we are your masters, do what we say".

How about this counter argument.....Jesus himself say's, "whomsoever will eat my flesh and drink my blood shall have eternal life". So jw's will be caught in a catch 22, either they are refusing the life giving blood of Jesus, or they are acknowledging drinking of blood as ok.

In Leviticus it also mentions not eating the fat of the animal...so this would mean jw's cannot eat ground meat, bacon, anything containing fat in it, they neglect this part of the law.

The blood law was given to the nation of Isreal to follow. The jw's have two classes the spritual Isrealites and the earth dwellers. The law being the case, this would only apply to the 144k spiritual Isreal, not the average JW.

They are now allowed to have fractions of blood transfused....well,where in the hell does it say do not eat parts of blood, watered down blood, 100% whole blood. Blood is blood no matter which way you look at it, they are breaking the commandment if they do get a fraction of blood, therefore they would be hyopocrites.

Why do Jew's still get transfusions?

If a jw child can refuse a blood transfusion, then they should be allowed to just go ahead and kill themselves since they are to be no part of the world.

But then again, fuck em, one less JW converting others is fine in my book.

Come on over and have some fun...
