... as though someone has just kicked me in the nuts... and then been handed a leaflet (by the deliverer of previously mentioned 'kick-in-the-nuts') which is entitled... "Do you feel as though you've just been kicked in the nuts?"...and it goes on to say... "Well that's the loving kick that comes from Jehovah's true organisation! Yes, you too could feel this bad, ALL THE TIME, simply by relinquishing all right to independent thinking and submitting yourself to unrelenting sensations of guilt over how truly inadequate you are. (insert spurious scripture to support position... lets say, Fellatio 3:12) Wouldn't you like to enjoy the fine association of brothers and sisters who will educate you in the ways of (1) emotional and spiritual blackmail (2) pitying smiles toward all the satanically deceived worldly people you might meet (3) enduring endless meetings where everybody says and does the exact same thing you heard them say and do the last time you were there! Only in Jehovah's true organisation will you find the eternal contentment of being able to regurgitate everything we tell you whilst by-passing any emotions, doubts or concerns you may have at any future time. It was inspired by a video I just watched... http://www.youtube.com/wa...Sux-vs5Y&feature=related Doubtless, many of you will have seen this little gem before, but having only just come across it, I instantly had a need to vent my spleen. I honestly thought it was a piss-take. I'm sitting there waiting for the punchline, thinking "boy-o-boy this is gonna be funny..." but then, much to my horror, discover it's a genuine WBTS promo, and promptly lose my lunch! But what's even worse is, I had a yearning to be the guy I was 10 years ago, who would have felt all inspired by this video. And suddenly I remember what it feels like to have absolute trust and belief, the comfort that fills you, and how sad and empty it is to be without that feeling and conviction. It's such a strange reaction to have in that, watching the video makes my skin crawl, but yet feel compelled to watch it again and again. HELP ME PLEASE, I'M JUST A JEHOVAH-JUNKIE!
