Yesterday I clicked on a notice on my facebook page that said, "Stanley made a photo with Maddona." I thought it was something my
son Stanley had done, so I clicked on it. Oops! Major crash! A full screen trojon infection warning came up, so I quickly went to my AVG to clean it up, and
before I could start a scan my PC was dead. I mean deader than dead.
Thankfully I have a friend who can fix it, so I overnighted it to him. In the meantime I'll use my wifes PC.
Stuff like this just pisses me off, bigtime. Why do these rotten fuckers have to do this *+$*? Why can't a website as big as facebook provide protection
against this kind of attack?
I just got on face book a few months ago, and reconnected with several High School chums. One who I grew up with who is now an x-jw. It is pretty cool.
I'm not sure now if I will go back on facebook or not.

It's not just Facebook. There are many websites out there that become infected with spyware, adware, and malware. It is a constant battle for the
white-hats (The good guys that try to keep PCs clean) and the black-hats (virus, spyware, adware creators)
I would give Facebook another try. Just be sure you are going to the right Facebook. If you clicked on a link, more than likely they took you to a "dummy" website that just downloads the virus. |

I've had that happen with what i thouhgt was facebook, but was a fake site just for the virus. in the end we had to get a new computer, the blue screen of
death came up too many times lol

I got on Facebook a few months ago, and though I don't have that many friends on there, I love it. Do you use Internet Explorer or something else? Someone
told me to use Firefox, after I had a similar thing happen with a different site, and I've been using it for a few years and haven't had anything
happen yet.

I sometimes get e-mails saying someone has left a message for me on Facebook, or take part in some quiz etc.
It usually gives a link to click on for "Facebook". But I always usually notice something odd about the "address" it doesn't look like the usual Facebook type. So I just go straight to Facebook and check and most times there is nothing there. But as has been said its not just Facebook, I get it from other places Ihave visited as well. They are usually done in such a way that you think that you must know the person who sent it. |

What i hate at the moment is those things that say 'you have a secret admirer' or 'so and so has a crush on you' when so and so is either
female,married,my boyfriends dad or somethin else inappropriate! Its stupid,coz if you click on it its some advert for a dating site. When really you just
wanna know if your boyfriends best mates sister really does think your fit..

I don't know myspace, and don't care to. I'm learning about Facebook, and it is kind of fun. I really like Twitter - I haven't tweeted yet,
but following others can be interesting, and that's what I like to do online anyway... see about what others are doing.
