I guess this is the best section to ask this.
If a JW passes away and they had done something that the JWs look down upon, but had not been DFed, do the JWs treat them differently? I'm asking because a JW I knew recently passed away and the family (also JW)
1) didn't tell people about the death until after the funeral
2) wouldn't tell people how this person died, even when people asked. (I'm deliberately being vague because this person died in a way that was reported in the news.)
No non-JWs think this person did anything wrong but it is seeming more and more like her JW family is ashamed of the way this person died and some of the things this person did before his/her death.
