She thought the individual may have been caught. Said three congregations met at torched hall-- English, French and Vietnamese, so there are three C.O.'s involved with "supporting the brothers" and making plans for rebuilding. Of course, the dub was convinced that this is only the beginning stage of persecution, and things will only get worse from here. That's all the news I have for now. Sent an email to dub in Sacramento. Will post later if she has any additional information.

Someone has a beef against the religion but not necessarily the people as the damage has been done when no-one is within cooee's distance of being inside. Sadly they will consider it a 'sign of the times' and much 'wailing and gnashing of teeth' will emanate from the persecuted ones. deep sigh "Walk your life without fear. I have total respect for the LGBT for viewing this as a "hate crime" and trying to help, but the local dubs actually accepting money from a group they vehemently oppose is just crap. To be fair, I don't know that the dubs actually took the money, but I wonder if a gesture like this could open the eyes of some dubs to who the bigots really are.

I am sure the LGBT community would love to see it as a loving move on their part. But they will not get that from the witnesses. The fact that any money was accepted , IMO, totally diminishes so much of what they preach.But then I can never understand people who shun family member and then take money from them. Or people who shun the military or government but then take benefits....ugh

To be honest I'm surprised the LGBT community has made such a motion (though of course I think they're doing the right thing) - don't they know that the JWs are anti-gay to begin with? It sounds so desperate (for acceptance, for the image of good citizens) for them to stand by a group that is so hateful and awful.
