I'd really like to meet up with some people in the UK - is anyone living in the SW of London? Does Ronnie 45 still run this forum? There was also a lady from Liverpool who was one of the forum moderators - are you still around? Bluebell (my forum name was Demi and my real name is Jenny).

Ronnie is still running the forum and our beloved Sam (Solitaire) is still his Admin-in-Arms ... although she's away at the moment. There are a few UK'ers floating about in the forum with one of our most recent Mods ... Punkofnice (Paul) being one of them. I'm sure once people see this thread ... you'll be remembered and may even hook up with those who live in your end of the world. I'll write my story again when I have more time, but I remember when I first joined this site I was extremely fearful of someone finding out that I'd spoken against the JWs. Nowadays I feel far removed from that former life as I was able to work through all the fear issues and how the elders treated me when I was violated at the age of 15. Anyway, I'm here to chat and connect with former witnesses as it would be great to party and share stories. Even though I've met lots of non-JWs over the years and socialize quite a bit, it would be good to talk to people who understand what it's like to be brought up as a JW (most people that I've told can't get their head around the inner workings of the organization and why people follow such controlling, manipulating rules). Some of my family are still in it, so I don't have contact with some of them i.e my dad. People don't really understand the loss you feel of a parent or parents to this group. Anyway, I hope to meet and chat with some people. Jenny

Registered Member Posts: 3 Mar 4 12 6:55 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Hi 2true, It was pretty horrible and I suffered the guilt of what happened until I came here and I was advised to read a book called 'Awakening of a Jehovah's Witness' by Diane Wilson. I could have kissed her feet when I read it as she aptly describes the Watchtowers change on their stance of rape and what constitutes a 'victim'. There are stories out there of women who did not scream during the act and where subsequently disfellowshipped. I don't actually live in London, but I visit SW London quite frequently, so I could go to West Sussex and meet for a drink. Anyway, look forward to chatting some more. Jenny
